A sampling of past and present projects we have been fortunate to design.
Byrd Kitchen Renovation and Addition
The existing kitchen and dining rooms in this existing house were small and separated compared to the split level large urban home.
The project involved and addition at the rear of the house where the existing kitchen was located. We swapped the kitchen and dining locations and opened up the spaces to make one large open space. We then added large windows down the the floor give the impression of never ending space looking out into the rear yard.
Lightwell House
This was our first opportunity to work with CLT structure. The house is a simple rectangular shape with a low sloped roof.
We broke this up by cutting the building down the middle with a glazed ‘lightwell’ that protrudes out the front and above the roof to allow natural light into the home. When one enters the home the view of the water beyond creates the impression of a ‘well’ and pulls you towards the beautiful waterfront views.

‘Light house’ Renovation
Our ‘light house’ renovation is situated on a beautiful lakefront property west of Ottawa. The existing cottage needed an upgrade. We designed a new living space with attached dining, and screened porch which is separated by a double sided fireplace that is shaped like a lighthouse.
The views from this home are some of the best we’ve seen.
Belmeade Renovation
This county home surrounded by endless views and farmland was outdated and needed a new layout and look for the new owners.
We added 2 new dormers at the front to include a new ensuite bathroom and a 3rd bedroom to the second floor.
We revised the main floor layout by relocating the kitchen and living rooms, adding an office, and a main floor laundry room.
We chose a modern farm house style with white board and batten siding and black windows. We added colour with accents of wood millwork and a wood front door.
The biggest addition was full wrap around porch. It will provide endless days of relaxation.
